K2 Radical 100 men's In-Line Skates (Black Size - 7.5)

Movin' Up5

After skating all summer I moved up to 100 m.m. wheels with these skates. The fit was perfect and everything is quality-made. I like that the boots are somewhat lower than ordinary fitness skates but not nearly as low-cut as speed skates. I adjusted the frames inward on the boots to keep from pronating but that was simple to do. I've been very happy with these skates especially for the price point.

It was a big step up from my previous Salomons with 82 m.m. wheels and high fitness boots. The somewhat lower cut boot on these K2's took a week or two to get used to but a person's ankles soon grow accustomed to them and then they enable you to use more of your calves quads and lower back to get more power to the ground. The 100 m.m. wheels roll smoothly and with a little practice a skater will go faster with the same amount of exertion as skates with higher boots and smaller wheels. I had to leave the top holes unlaced to prevent binding on the front of my ankle and I'm not the only person whose done that with the K2's but the two other fasteners snug them down nicely. The release for the lower fastener took me a few minutes to figure out how to release but then it was not a problem. In this price range I think these are excellent skates and I would buy them again!
